Plex Windows now playing music track doesn’t update when remote controlling Plex Android TV

When playing music on the TV using Windows as remote, the currently playing track display on Windows is stuck to the first title in the queue.
Plex Android Phone properly updates the title when remoting to the TV. I can change tracks from Windows and the title only updates on my phone, not on Windows.
I tried Plex Media Player Windows test version and the issue was there as well.

The symptoms are exactly as described here: PMP Mac OS now playing music track doesn't update when remote controlling another player.

Any logs needed to help narrow down the problem?

A slight correction; I just discovered that the title displayed on the Windows player is NOT the first in the queue, but the first played. Of course these are often the same. I just started playback using my Android phone by clicking the third track on an album. I later wanted to check how the Windows client was behaving and started it up after playback had continued to the fourth track. The title playing was the third track according to the Windows client, which was incorrect.
