Suddenly am unable to cast to Sonos from Windows Plex app. Casting is fine via app Android, iOS, MacBook and using Plex.tv
Is anyone else having issues casting to Sonos with the Windows app?
Also casting to Sonos ok with Plex Media Player. Should also add I am using a Sonos S1 system and can play Plex via the Sonos native app. So, the issue is with Plex Player (Windows) only, casting to Sonos S1. Any help appreciated. Thanks
A reinstall of the Sonos S1 app seems to have rectified this issue, to the extent anyone else was experiencing problems. - UPDATED - ignore. Not fixed. Believe issue is specific to PMS set up at my end
Does the sonos just not show up as a target? or is it failing after being selected? is it all content or just things like a playlist? does casting an individual track work?
Thanks @BigWheel. I seem to have sorted this out although not entirely certain how - a sign out from the server (s) I was using (and which were not “castable”) and then sign back in has resolved. It was a very odd issue as it impacted only 2 of 5 servers I have running on separate machines (withhold laughter please). The Sonos zones were showing as targets and cast would fail regardless of content type. But as of half an hour ago and sign out and back in it has sorted self. Hi folks. Exact same issue as in May, after recently updating PMS. Only this time signing out and then back in does not solve the issue on the 2 servers.
