Unable to cast from plex iOS app to sonos

I am having problems casting music from the plex iOS app to my sonos speakers

iPhone 7 Plus latest plex app
Synology DS416 lasted PMS server

I can play plex music directly through the sonos app just fine

If I try to cast through the plex app I am able to select my sonos speaker from the cast list

When I hit play it cycles through the songs or albums I select immediately. Like goes form 00:00 right to the end and continues through

If I open up the sonos all I will see the current song in the bottom bar. If I hit the play button I get the following message

But then if I go through the sonos app to select that song it plays just fine.

I have remote access set up correctly as I watch movies from outside the house all the time

Any help?

Ive got exactly the same issue. Can not get Plex to cast to Sonos. But everything else works fine with Plex and Sonos. Really disappointed with this deployment. Not Plex like at all.
