I have plex pass and tried to cast to sonos from the plex app. It connects and plays to my sonos but then it loses connection and when I skip a song it says something like “an error occured, please try again later”
Its the same problem from my smartphone and my tablet.
When I start a song and cast it to a sonos speaker, the song starts to play but i cannot control it anymore. Skip to next song and volume adjustment dont work and i cannot stop.
I am having the same problem. I can play one track from Plex to a Sonos speaker but I can neither jump back or forth to another track nor can I stop it playing. I have to go to the Sonos app to control it. I also cannot play a queued song in Plex to a Sonos device. I’m unsure if the problem is a result of upgrading my music library as Plex asked me to do or as a result of updating PMS to the latest version 1.18.0.1913
I’m new to using Sonos. Got rid of all my Chromcast Audios. Sonos much more stable, flexible and robust. I have the same issue. Can initiate one track and then the music stalls. Pause doesn’t work and other controls do no not work.
A courtesy response from a Plex representative would be appreciated. Sonos casting is a major feature.
After a server update today I can connect to sonos, play a song, select other songs directly, stop and resume a song and disconnect again from sonos player.
Go to previous song / next song still doesnt work from my Android Phone.
When I try to play tidal to my sonos player it says “Error while trying to play this Video”
any update on this. Its been driving me crazy for months! For some reason when the support first came out it worked much better. Now I have to try 10 to 15 times before it will let me play the tracks from Plex in the Sonos app. I’m not sure why we can’t get a clear answer with all the threads on this issue…
