Plex won’t stream outside my LAN

I have just set up Plex v 1.24.2.493 on my QNAP NAS and imported music library and linked it to Alexa. All works fine within my LAN Plex plays to my Alexa devices and iPhone but when I go outside my LAN and ask Alexa to play from Plex server she announces she is playing the song but nothing comes through. I have set up a port forwarding rule on my router WAN port 32400 and the Plex interface shows ‘fully accessible outside your network’ but just no music being streamed to iPhone with good cellular signal. Any ideas what could be blocking it?
