I can stream music from my Plex onto my hifi via Wiim.
However I can’t play it on my Alexa. I have enabled the skill in the Alexa app.
When I ask it to play music from my Plex it says that it can’t access Plex. Within the Plex service, I enable remote access via port 32400 but a few moments later it says it’s not available outside my network. I have disabled my firewall in McAfee, but the same thing happens.
All this time I’m able to stream music from my Plex library onto my hifi via Wiim.
Any suggestions?..
I don’t know if this would help or not, but have you tried to setup Plex companion?

I am guessing it won’t work because of your Wiim device and it’s lack of support for Alexa etc, but it’s worth a shot at least.
I am hoping that it could help to access your Plex server at least, perhaps via Plexamp.
You may need a Plex Pass for that, though.
Sorry, I have not used Companion myself, so I am purely guessing here.
To enable Remote Access, you may need to create a Port Forward rule in your Router settings.
It should look something like this:
Using the example above, you would enter the External Port number into Plex Settings > Server > Remote Access > Manually specify public port (28981).
