As the title says, Plex isn’t recognizing The Last Dance. The naming schema is correct, and I’ve tried the Plex Dance multiple times. Any other ideas?

This works on my server:
/TV Shows/The Last Dance/The Last Dance - s01e01.mkv
If you’re using .mp4 files, check the setting for Local Media Assets (LMA).
Settings -> Server -> Agents -> TV Shows -> TheTVDB & The Movie Database
Drag LMA to the bottom of the list of selected agents, then refresh the metadata for the show or library. Sometimes metadata embedded in MP4 files can interfere with Plex pulling information from online sources.

What do you mean by “not recognizing” Is it listed as unmatched, does it match incorrectly or does it not get listed at all?

That may be a permission thing one the filesystem level.
Permission in the folder and file info is listed as read & write
Then it should at least show up “somehow” in the library, either matched incorrectly or unmatched.
Edit: the plex user needs read permissions, I assume you are running it under your own user?
Orko’s remark about the permissions was not about how it shows up on your Mac but how it’s configured for the plex account on your Synology DiskStation!
Even if I go to the homepage looking for recently added episodes, it’s not showing up there, even under a different series.
Yes. No issues with other files’ permissions.
Are you running the plexserver on your Mac where the files are located?
No, it’s running off the Synology.
The files are also located on the Synology.
Still sounds like the plex user on your synology does not have read permissions on the folder and or files. Can you ssh into and check?
Copy one of the episodes into an Other Videos library.
Plex will not match it with any online info.
It should appear there without any issue.
Please “Scan All Files” for the section.
Allow to complete.
