So I am having an Issue on all of my Devices, Iphone, Android tablet, Ipad, and an Android Phone where when I am trying to Sync some content it gets to ~50% and then just freezes there and never completes. This happens on all of my mobile devices. I do own plex pass and would actually like to be able to use the main feature it includes. All of my Devices are up to date and the app is also up to date. My Media server is Up to date as well. I have tried numerous times reinstalling the app and trying to sync something else like a tv show instead of a movie and still no luck.
Hi Rporter996 - as far as I know, up to 50% sync means transcoding in progress on server, when meter reaches 50% transcoding is done and item is pending transfer to device. Please check if:
- you have enough space on the device storage where plex is set to store sync files
- you have set enough quota for synced content.
- could you please try to play something from the application directly - no syncing, just directly from the server, and see if it works?
There was no transcoding going on. And they are able to play without
downloading. The quota was also set correctly
Any update on this?
I have an iPhone that is having the same issue. (Worked fine up until a few weeks ago)
Also have a Plex Pass, Plex Server is latest version, iOS is latest version. Toms of space available on my phone.
Would like a resolution as this SYNC function is the ONLY reason I subscribe to PLEX Pass…
I’ve recently been experiencing the same thing…only have IOS, but happening on several different devices. Any ideas anyone?
Same thing for me for video files and my android tablet.
Are you on WiFi or Mobile Data, if on Mobile Data have you enabled it? I had this issue and turned out I had switched WiFi off on my phone and forgotten about it.
