Broken sync

After several searches of these forums I’ve seen a lot of people end up in the same situation I’m in when syncing to a mobile device, in my case an iPad.
iPad app says “50% - Waiting” on item I have asked to be synced.
Server says “Waiting to be downloaded”
There are several threads all with similar issues like this (just search those phrases), many of those affected have discovered the only way to get over the hurdle is to delete the app and start again. Not practical, I did it already once this week and the problem is back. Many others have just given up on Plex ever fixing sync which from my searches of the forums has been a long running issue.
Incredibly disappointing that so many customers should have their problems overlooked for so long. How is it possible these issues haven’t been addressed?

I had the same issue rescently, I deleted the synced content and closed plex and started over and it fixed it. It was a pain. I figured it was something I did.

Bump in the hope a developer might actually see this and want to make their software actually work.

Sync and Hardware transcoding seem to be having issues playing with each other.

If Plex is syncing a file (transcoding it) and someone starts playing a file that also requires transcoding then the sync process stalls and never starts back up until plex is restarted.

What video card and operating system are you using?
