Everything on both server and playing device is set to direct play in every possible way, yet Plex keeps transcoding everything playing from remote access. I tested the player by bringing it home and on my WIFI it can direct play. It is not the Internet connection either, there is 600/600 Mbit connection on both ends,
What is the remote device - Roku, FireTV, etc?
In PMS Settings -> Remote Access, what is configured for Internet Upload Speed and Limit Remote Stream Bitrate?
Everything is set to maximum and original. And the remote device is both shield and smartphone.
