Plex wont get the correct language

Hi,
I hope i post this in the correct section.

Im having problem with all my tv-shows only pulls english info from TVBD. I have several tvshows that are norwegian and it does have a full norwegian section on TVBD website.

For example this show called “White Boys” in english.

In norwegian its called “Hvite Gutter”. As you can see on the TVDB website it has a complete profile with banners, episodes, description etc in norwegian. But when i search through Plex using the “repair match” option it only finds the english version. When i search for “Hvite Gutter” it doesnt find any results.

How am i supposed to get this work with the norwegian info? I just cant figure it out.

That might actually be normal.
Did you select the right language under ‘Search Options’?
And what happens after you click on this english title?

Yes, i chose norwegian and search “hvite gutter” but it says it doesnt find a match. If i search for norwegian but “white boys” it comes up and all the descriptions are english.

That’s curious, because TheTVDB doesn’t even have english descriptions for this show. Only norwegian and swedish (and a few in french).
Can you share a screenshot, how these english descriptions are appearing in Plex for you?

Please take a look under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB

Is the line ‘Local Media Assets’ at the top position?
If so, grab it with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under

  • Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
  • Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase

Sorry, i mixed it up with a different show. The title does change to “White Boys” though, instead of “Hvite Gutter”.

The other example is a show called Side by Side, in norwegian Side om Side. If i go to repair match and search “Side om side” and norwegian language it shows up (otherwise in english it would show up as Side by Side (2013). So i click the correct match but it renames it to “Side by side (2013)” with a english description. Also in TVBD all the episodes are correctly named. But after doing the repair match, 3 of the seasons doesnt get their episodes named, they are displayed as “Episode x” even though it has correct name on the TVBD websites.

Local Media Assets is already at the bottom, but thanks for the suggestion!

There were some issues with TheTVDB yesterday. Maybe your local agent cache is still “dirty”.
Clear it out, then ‘Refresh Metadata’ of the whole show.

I tried everything. Its been like this for the last 2 months now. Everything was working perfectly untill TVBD was updated…

Seems to have only english episode descriptions in the latest season on TheTVDB. All the older seasons have only norwegian text.
Just to be absolutely sure, can you copy the content of the Plex XML info of one of the affected episodes into here?
(enclose it inbetween lines which only have 3 backticks ` on them)

I kinda gave up and im manually adding all the info myself instead of using external websites. Atleast it gets correct.
