I’m running my server in Docker on my unraid machine. My library consist of different TV shows in English and some local shows in Norwegian. So far I have manually changed the names of all my Norwegian shows to not get the translated English versions. This is fine, but for some shows I would also want the episode titles in Norwegian as the English ones usually just are generic names like “Episode X”. I tried adding a new library and chose Norwegian as the library language and moved one of my TV shows here for testing purposes. It matched fine with TheTVDB, but it still used the English title and generic episode names. Shouldn’t this be named in Norwegian? The TVDB ID is 340277, and Plex named the show “Almost grown-up”, not “Nesten voksen” that is the Norwegian name. Any ideas?
In play here could be the difference between the two Norwegian writing systems. Perhaps Plex is only looking for the “wrong” one of the two?
And this show only has generic episode names (even in english), which, understandably, no-one cared to translate into norwegian. Almost Grown-up - Aired Order - Season 1 - TheTVDB.com
It has a Norwegian translated titles for episodes “1 episode”(seems generic but is different from “Episode 1”) and a description also. (see the translation https://www.thetvdb.com/series/340277-show/episodes/6482044/translate/ep/744648 )
Both Plex and TVDB only has one Norwegian “language”, even though TVDB specifies “Bokmål” though…?
Sorry, that link doesn’t lead me to any useful page. I can only judge by the languages which are already in there.
Your link, by the look of it, leads to a place where a user can provide new translations.
Now, it is totally possible that Plex is only looking for Nynorsk translations and is ignoring Bokmål translations. (Classic error for programmers which never heard about norwegian.)

Until this one is finished and released, you won’t unfortunately achieve any improvement regarding norwegian language support for tv shows in Plex.
