I’m trying to add “ST:TOS” to my “Various TV Series” library but it won’t show up (and yes; I have followed the naming guidelines).
All I see is one entry for “ST:DS9” and one for “ST:TAS”; when I add “ST:TOS” as it’s own library it shows up but mistakes some local extra material for “DS9” and “TAS” episodes (which I assume is due to the issues mentioned here ).
Is this due to some matching bug?
Can show us an example of your naming then? Do you have all the various star trek shows in one star trek folder instead of separated in the TV folder?

That looks matched, I don’t understand the problem.
Never add individual show folders here. Should only be the top level fodlers like
Mount/Joe/TVShows
I’m showing you how it looks when I don’t have “ST:TOS” under “Various TV Series”.
I think I’ve figured out why it shows “TAS” and “DS9”; those episodes are included as specials for the Blu-Ray release I have.

you’re listing individual shows in the TV Series library ?
You should only list the parent folder which contains the series.
Like this:
Then your show folders and structure are placed underneath that.

The annoying thing is that not all shows fit on the same physical disk so that’s why I used several parent/source directories for “Various TV Series”.
Then I’ll restructure things to better suit Plex.
You can have multiple parent directories just not child ( the actual show) directories

For my situation it still seems that one library per show that won’t fit the “Various TV Series” library disk’s folder is the best option for myself. Thanks again.

Does /mnt/Berry_Storage contain only TV shows?
Yes:
Add /mnt/Berry_Storage to the Various TV Series library.
Do not add the folders for Eureka, Farscape, MacGyver, etc.
No: Re-arrange your media so tv shows and movies are in separate folders.
For example, make a tv_shows directory and move the tv shows to that location. Do the same for any movies or other media.
/mnt/Berry_Storage <-- not added to any library
.../tv_shows <-- Add this folder to "Various TV Shows" library
....../Eureka (2006) <-- not added to any library
....../Farscape (1999) <-- not added to any library
....../MacGyver (1985) <-- not added to any library
.../movies <--- add to a movie library

Yes.
I had to remove some other garbage under “Berry_Storage” but then it went well.
Thanks again to everyone that pointed me to the right path.
