Plex won't open on XBOX ONE

Hello, since I’ve updated my Mac to El Capitan, Plex on Xbox one won’t open. It is stuck on the main PLEX opening screen with the time wheel spinning and spinning, and spinning and spinning… Its is very annoying and frustrating.
I have done following.

  1. Restarted XBox One completely (also powered it off)
  2. Reinstalled Plex
  3. Delited Xbox one on Devices under Plex
  4. Tried different accounts on Xbox One
  5. Searched the internet for any suggestions and tried as many as I could find.

PLEX IS STILL NOT OPENING!

Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the current version of the app. The basics are that during loading the app is blocked from reading the user settings which causes the app to fail to finish loading (which is why it stays stuck on the loading screen).

The only known workarounds are what you have tried: Using a new user account, hard reset of the xbox, opening the plex app with no users signed in, etc.

The fix has been submitted (In version 1.5) to Microsoft and has been approved but is waiting for Microsoft to release which should be tuesday:

Thank you so much. Perseverance has paid off. After trying for hours I finally got a windows and I’ve managed to log in! At least for today. Plex/Microsoft should give a discount for the unpleasant time waste :slight_smile:
