My PS4 stopped playing videos from the Plex app but I can still play them from the Plex directory in the media player on the PS4, my Vizio smart TV’s, my Android Plex app, my PS5, and a Roku. I cleared the PS4 cache for Plex, deleted the app, reinstalled it, and then rebooted the PS4 and still getting “an unexpected playback problem occurred”
The video information is there and no other app has this issue. I’m starting to think I have to backup the data and format the dang thing. I haven’t found the log file yet to copy it here.
Update: I went ahead and saved my game data and reformatted the PS4. I also hooked it up to my cellular hotspot in case my ISP was screwing with it—same issue.
