I have had Plex for a while with no issues. It works on other devices fine but will not play any video on my PS4. It used to with no problem. Now every video gives and “Unexpected Playback Error” message. I have researched and done the basics for it in the settingd such as checki g for the secure connections and even went as far as to uninstall and reinstall it but nothing has resolved the issue. It won’t play any video no matter what source/server its coming from.
Same issue here for months. Tried to fix it then and got tired of it. Thought I’d give it a go once more and still the same result. It’s beyond astounding that it’s still a problem and hasn’t been addressed.
My situation has slightly changed. Now the PS4 will play movies/shows from the Plex server but thats it. It won’t play them from the media server thats conmected to it. I know the media server is working because it works on our other smart TV but something on the PS4 is preventing it. Its beyond frustrating.
