I have Plex media server, Plex app on Android phone and Plex app on PS4.
Since yesterday, I get playback error even when I want to watch an episode or film I have already watched. I noticed it when I got new content yesterday. I thought at first it was affecting only new episodes or movies but no…it is random.
I can watch everything on browser or Windows desktop app and android phone app.
I think there is an issue with the latest PS4 app release. I know a new version is likely to be released every month or 2 …so what can I do ? They don’t release fixes like for the actual Plex server…
I deleted the app on PS4. Downloaded it again…opened it linked it with my Plex server…then while choosing which library to display the app crashed…
I went back in then selected my server then was able to choose my libraries.
Everything loaded fine but I still have a playback error
The app is also slow after I get a playback error…
Do an of you have the same issue?
If it’s not fixed soon I’ll have to move my desktop downstairs (Plex media server) and plug it via hdmi cable since my Sony bravia is an older model and opera store is closed…
UPDATE ISSUE RESOLVED
On my PC (Plex server) internet security premium from Comodo had an issue… uninstalled it and installed it again and now PS4 app is working perfectly.
Sorted now I hope this post can be useful for someone.
