PLEX wont recognize my computer

I just installed PLEX on my PC with windows 10, the install was fine and i went through the basic wizard, but when i try to add media to the library nothing from the laptops hard drive or my external hard drive are visible options to pick from. I have done some looking online but i cant seem to find anything current on this.

Did you map the drive from the laptop to your PC? Do you plan to always have your laptop on when PMS is on? Is the external drive connected to your PC or to the laptop?

If you did mount the drives properly, were they mounted before or after PMS launched/started. The drives need to be available to your PC before PMS launches. If this is the case, you can just close and restart PMS and it will find the mounts.

Movie fan.plex, thanks for your quick reply but I figured it out. I just picked up a Nvidia shield the other day and I installed plex on it before my laptop and was using the server of the Shield. So I just started over with the laptop as the main server. Just got ahead of myself is all.
Thanks again!
