My plex was running wonderfully until now. I could watch via the browser without any problems no matter if in the same network or remote. Now I have the problem, without changing anything except installing the latest updates, that I can’t get smooth playback over remote unless I let my server transcode the video down to 720p 2Mbit.
When I disable transcoding it plays 1-2 seconds, buffer, 1-2 seconds etc.
Internet speed is not the problem. The server has a 1Gbit line and the remote site has a 10Gbit, both connected via LAN. Firewall or router are also not the problem, it has always worked so far.
What could be the problem?
