So a buddy of mine shares his media server with me on my account. I can access the content on my tv in the living room, my phone, and laptop. But when I try to watch in the man cave, different tv, it says the server can’t be reached. I thought it could be the tv, but it won’t connect from the playstation either. Any suggestions?
How is your TV and PS hooked up in the man cave?
Are they on same WiFi as the other devices?
Yeah, everything is the same. The tv and PS4 are located in the same room as my WiFi box.
question is not so much if they’re in the same room but if they’re actually connected to the same network.
beyond that… can you verify you have those devices (man cave’s tv / ps4) are logged into the same Plex account as the devices in the rest of your household?
Yes I can verify that. When I access it on my laptop and it shows my logged in devices I see the tv and PlayStation.
I look on the tv or ps and my buddy’s “media” has a red triangle with exclamation inside it. On all my others it just has an ornate circle with an exclamation in it.
