So using Plexamp 4.5.3 on iOS (16.1.1) and Windows 11 (22H2 22621.819) and noticed some quirks;
On both platforms the AAC files I have won’t play gapless between each other, but will for example play gapless in a 3rd party app (Prism).
On the iOS device (14 Pro Max) some FLAC songs have a small stutter/crackle that doesn’t exist in the Windows version of the app which is super strange.
Any ideas on either?
Other than that, awesome app! Only other thing that would make the windows one amazing is a minimise to tray option but apart from that 10/10!
And the FLAC issue that I have specifically on iOS but not on Windows?
Also is there any way (or even if its possible) that you could let the forward and reverse skip buttons on Carplay/Apple Notification tray/Dynamic Island control also skip music forwards and backwards when they are held down instead of pressed once? I can’t pickup my phone whilst driving to skip through a track and Apple Music does this, not sure if they let other developers access this option or not.
Also any plans at all for tray icons & minimize in Windows/Mac versions at all?
Yes, we’d need a link to them to be able to see what’s going on. It’s likely something specific with the files because we haven’t heard of any general issue with gapless (or stutter/crackle for that matter). If I had a dollar for every corrupt file people have reported issues with, I’d have at least enough for a fancy coffee drink.
I’m not sure it’s possible, we’d need to look into it.
It would go under general desktop enhancements, which we’ve been wanting to look into for a while.
the stutter is more like a clipping sound for want of a better word, happens sometimes in the middle of songs but only on the iOS version, not the windows version for some reason.
will check if its the same across bluetooth headphones/carplay/speaker as well.
