Here’s something I noticed and I would expect a different behavior, so I’m curious to know if this is a bug and if it could be fixed?
I have a playlist “Album 1” and in the list of playlists I click the vertical ... and choose Play. When I scroll to see the UP NEXT tab I can see all the songs on that playlist. So far so good.
Now let’s say I want to add another playlist “Album 2” to the queue after that first playlist. If I click the ... on that “Album 2” playlist and choose Add to Queue it completely removes all the other songs that were in the UP NEXT list, from “Album 1”
If the UP NEXT list is the queue, shouldn’t the songs from “Album 2” just be added to the end of the songs from “Album 1”?
This is almost certainly because you played the album by tapping on the first track and didn’t play the album as a “whole” (big play button on the album).
In the next release, we’ve added another action for this case so you can do both things.
In this case my suggestion would be that the queue isn’t “locked” to a few songs. We should be able to see all songs when we scroll, even if that means including 500 songs we added.
No. I’m clicking the … and hit play in both steps:
But even if I did hit the first song to play, the moment the queue is populated with songs and I choose the option to add a playlist “after” the queue it should move the new songs to the end of the queue, otherwise it defeats the purpose of what the feature is supposed to do, especially because the icon specifically shows the songs being moved to the end of the queue.
