When using Plexamp and streaming to the bluesound sound node useing airplay 2 what quality am I getting streaming a 192 high rez file
Does it sound good?
That is the most important question!
I believe AirPlay is PCM at 44.1 or 48 kHz, which is more than enough to fill a human’s hearing range. 192 kHz is far outside our hearing range and just a waste of space.
I can tell a difference not sure what type of sound system you have. I stream Qobuz High Bit rate and going from that to cd quality there is a big difference
That’s generally because the mastering is different on the high res releases, so it’ll sound better even when you’re listening to it resampled to 44.1 kHz.
Any chance in the future you update Plexamp to stream high Bitrate to blue sound node
unlikely as it only supports proprietary mechanisms. however, you might be able to connect plexamp headless (out this year) to one of the blue sound inputs and do it that way, it’s at least conceivable.
Plexamp Headless will this be something like Roon
