Plexamp additionally encodes music to a higher frequency (?)

I’m using Shanling M3 Ultra player and found out that Plexamp upscales all music that I play: no matter is it FLAC or MP3, no matter the number of kbps, no matter of kHz - player shows me that it’s 192 kHz.

When I use for example, YouTube music - system shows that it’s 44.1 kHz, as intended.

Is it possible to fix this somehow?

But higher numbers are better right??

Post some logs, I’ve seen Plexamp in Android able to get higher than 48kHz

Here’s the log file. First I tried to play a 48 kHz mp3 file, then 44.1 kHz FLAC. Both times I had 192 kHz output shown.

Something’s weird with the OS, we’re requesting 48kHz.

Bear in mind, there’s no actual “encoding” taking place; 192kHz = 48kHz x 4 so it’s bascially a lossless upsampling. Useless, but in terms of your ears, completely innocuous.

So i need to contact the manufacturer to address this problem? They’re pretty active in social media
