I’m new to using Android Auto so I’m not sure if an issue with Plexamp or AA.
Music selcted on my phone from the downloads tab works fine, but if I go to the menu on the AA head and select downloads I get a swirly yellow circle that lasts anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds before AA crashes.
I then have to select my phone again from the connection manager, AA loads up, and usually it’ll open the downloads menu straight away and I can pick a new album. If I go back to the menu again it will crash.
Has anyone experienced this?
I have got approx 50gb of music downloaded so could AA be struggling with the library size?
There does not appear to be anything to share within debugging
In that case, would you please provide more details about what use case(s) the download function does support? When you navigate to the Downloads section of the app the first time, you are greeted by a message that says:
So the way this works is you download a bunch of music [some stuff about buying a van] … But the point is, when you’re off-grid you can listen to your downloaded music.
If the download feature has constraints, that’s a very significant matter for a mobile app. A little more detail about what does/doesn’t work would go a long way.
Each item is limited to 24 hours; a ~dozen of these items is normal. Some people are downloading hundreds of these things, which goes beyond what it was designed to support.
