Plexamp Audio Not Routing to Bluetooth Receiver

Hello Plex Forum Users,

I have Plexamp on my android device and when I play a track via bluetooth in the car, sound is coming through the phone’s speaker rather through the car stereo via bluetooth receiver. If I use a different app(eg youtube music), the audio is routed as expected through the Bluetooth receiver. Bluetooth receiver is connected to 3.5mm aux port on car stereo.

Sound will route to car audio system if connected with USB-C to USB A Socket adaptor / USB A Plug to 3.5mm Socket / 3.5mm Plug-Plug Lead to 3.5mm aux port on car stereo.

Does anyone have an idea if I may have missed anything in settings? I dont think I have.

Answering my own solution here incase anyone else has a similar issue. The answer in resolving this is to look at your Android settings and change its default behaviour.

So in Android if you head to settings>sounds and vibration>Separate app sound

‘.Turn on now’ options was active. I deactivated this.

Also, there was an option for audio device > phone. Other option is bluetooth. By selecting Bluetooth this would have prevented sound being routed to local speaker.

This only affected certain apps. Eg Chrome, Google TV, Plex, Samsung Internet, Plex Amp.
