I noticed about a month ago that Autoplay for albums stopped working. Its enabled in the global options, but all I see at the bottom of the play list now when playing an album is “Silence the party is over.”. This was working fine previously. I’m wondering if I hit a magic keyboard shortcut that turns this feature off even though its enabled in the global settings?

you should update to 3.8.0
if it is enabled swipe here to choose next album. but you have to make that choice before the album ends.

Its almost a completely invisible item on the desktop client. The object you highlighted above is not an interactable object on the desktop client, but if the mouse hovers over just the right spot on either side of it, arrows appear.
oh ok, that is the desktop app but I am on a laptop with trackpad that has horizontal scrolling so I can swipe right/left when cursor is hovering anywhere on that object.
gonna add another screenshot with the arrows for folks who may see this that don’t have a trackpad or mouse that has horizontal scrolling.
and just for completeness the choice should stick for all other future sessions
Is there anyway to automatically select the next album? I frequently use the app while driving and don’t want to fumble with my phone. It was working great up until a few weeks ago.
I was able to disable then enable again the play related when you reach the end of your que. Everything works fine until I connect with my car stereo via usb. When connected to my stereo it will only allow the repeat all or repeat 1 options. This had never been a problem and my player would work as expected.
I am running Plexamp 3.8.2 on an iPhone.
@joshua-klomp Are you controlling it with Apple’s Carplay in a head unit? I think the options are limited in what we can display on screen for Carplay. If you enable it on phone like screenshots above before connecting via USB does it work?
it will remember the last setting so if you set it on your phone it should continue to work on car.
With regards to having to swipe/click the arrow to prevent the music stopping at the end of an album: is this change to Autoplay deliberate or just a temporary bug?
That’s the way it’s always been; we plan to improve it so it remembers what you wanted, rather than what it decided.
I might be getting mixed up with the iOS version, perhaps. I’m sure on there it autoplays the next album without having to do any swiping.
It would until/unless you played something w/o a next album, in which case it would change over the Silence.
I’m not sure if I’m losing my mind, but I just tested the desktop version again and it rolls on to the artist’s next chronological album automatically now (no swipe/arrow necessary). I wonder if I just had a one off issue. This is perfect.
