So I only got this problem with Plexamp and it is pretty consistent that it renders the app unusable for me.
When I start a song, it cannot be played and immediately skips to the next one. Repeat. Sometimes it finds a song it can play and plays it, but only after a lot of songs are skipped. Here is a vid of it.
I could see this issue on Android, Windows and Mac. I have no problems playing the exact same songs with the regular Plex apps. Sometimes I cannot play a song with Plexamp Android but works with Plexamp Windows.
I searched for it and only found this unanswered issue: It keeps skipping
I am thankful for any ideas how to debug this since I like Plexamp a lot.
Jumping in because I’ve been seeing a bit of the same. When sorting the Plex server logs by modified, it doesn’t appear that they’re getting written at all, which would explain why the other guy’s logs didn’t have anything about playback. I’m attaching a log from my Windows Plexamp.

the track from TIDAL is unplayable for some reason.
Was poking around it a bit more. I was able to play it fine through the Tidal app directly. Couldn’t play anything on that album through Plex or Plexamp. Removed/re-added to library, and it seems okay now.
I know that doesn’t help narrow it down any, but it does make it seem more like a problem with Plex picking it up from Tidal than some sort of Tidal outage.
My bad, I’ll bow out of this thread then. Since your question earlier seems to have been missed: I couldn’t find logs on Android, but the Plexamp logs on Windows default to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Plexamp\Plexamp\Logs, in case you want to try uploading for the support folks to take a look at.
Hey, jumping in because I have been seeing this with Tidal on occasion also.
I noticed that in Plex web it will error saying another device may be playing using Tidal however I closed the app on all other plex players with my account.
I noticed that PMS was picking up some tracks that were not viewable in Tidal’s app. I posted a separate issue about this.
For albums that ARE available in Tidal’s app that dont play, I found that I had to refresh my Tidal authentication in Accounts > Subscriptions > Other Services > Tidal. This fixed it on the PMS side, but I then had to deauth all apps using my Tidal account (Plexamp on my Android for example).
Once I signed in again Tidal songs were playing again, but I had to remove any Tidal albums I manually added to my Plex Library via the ui. This also affected my Playlists which I had to rebuild.
I think for the time being I am going to hold off on hitting ‘Add to Library’ in Plexamp, if I add a Tidal track directly (so that it shows the Tidal icon next to the track name) it behaves much more reliably in Playlists than if I were to add it to my library and then add it to the playlist from my library.
For what I believe to be unreleased albums it would be nice to get some of the error messages Plex-web posts in Plexamp so that I can more easily diagnose Tidal integration issues.
No worries just wanted to mention that I think that here are different factors at play. Yours sound more like a general plex/tidal problem while mine is pretty much plexamp specific.
Thanks for the hint with the windows log file. I will try to upload one in the next days.
