Plexamp cannot start to play from queue on Plex HTPC

In principle I can remote control Plex HTPC (receiver) with Plexamp (controller).
When HTPC stops playing tracks from a queue (after the last track of the queue was played) it is not possible any more to add tracks via Plexamp and get them playing on HTPC.

Plexamp shows the last track which was successfully played from the play queue. I can add tracks to the play queue in Plexamp and see these in the play queue in Plexamp (in the Up Next part). Only HTPC does not seem to receive them (not showing them).
When I press the play button in Plexamp (which still shows the last successfully played track) nothing happens. The new tracks should be played in HTPC, but this does not happen. It is not possible to re-play the last successfully played track, either.
After a while (couple of minutes, may be) the last played track is not displayed in Plexamp any more.

If tracks are added via Plexamp while tracks are being played in HTPC everything works as expected.

I play the tracks from Tidal and use the newest available Plexamp (Android), HTPC (Linux) and Plex Server (Linux) versions.

Server: Version 1.32.5.7349 as snap on Ubuntu 22.0.4.3 LTS
HTPC: 1.45.1.3942-6fc4ceab as snap on Ubuntu 22.0.4.3 LTS
Plexamp: 4.8.2 on Android (tried on different Android devices)

Is this a bug or do I use Plexamp/HTPC in a wrong way?
Or is the described behavior intended (why?)?
