Plexamp causing GPU frame drops

Hi there,

I had been using Plexamp on my Windows 10 PC to play music from a library hosted on my network. I started to notice frame drops when playing games on my PC - I determined that it was being caused by Plexamp. While it was running it would hit my GPU (nvidia 970), causing a significant dip in performance every ~5 seconds, which would have a visual impact on whatever game I was playing.

Has this been seen before? Interested in helping dig into this if that helps at all. I love the app and would be very happy to help it work more smoothly.

Are you using any visualizers? If so, which one?

Hi Elan,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, I have been using ‘Galaxy’. The issues were occurring whether I was listening to music or not.

I’ll try other visualizers and see if the problem persists.
