Plexamp "Could not connect to player"

I have a Chromecast 3 gen and Chromecast with Google tv and as of about 3 weeks ago 90% of the time when casting from Plexamp from my Moto G power I receive the error “Could not connect to player”.
The Plex app does not have this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plexamp, rebooted everything but no change. Server and app are up to date
I used Plexamp daily until now, Any Idea how to troubleshoot this issue ?
