Plexamp unable to connect to any Chromecast devices

I have a houseful of Google cast devices including CC Audios, Google Display, NVIDIA Shield and Google Home Minis. When I try to cast to any device from my Samsung S20 FE mobile using Plexamp, I get an error that it ‘could not switch to player’. I hear the noise from the device suggesting that it’s connected but Plexamp won’t connect to it. I am running version 4.2.2 of Plexamp on Android version 12. Logs attached.

Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve tried rebooting my phone and multiple attempts at connecting to a range of devices and the result is the same each time. The Chromecast devices work fine from other apps such as Youtube Music or the Tidal app. Just not Plexamp.

Hmm, it looks like you’re trying to cast TIDAL content and that’s not working. Does it work if you try to cast music from your server?

No, I can’t cast anything at all. The app is really laggy and I routinely get the ‘Whoops, we had an issue getting data from HomeServer…’ message. I have really strong wifi (right next to the router) so it’s not signal related.

Ok, I just uninstalled it off my phone and reinstalled. Weird but it works. I should have tried that in the first place. I can’t remember when that’s ever solved a problem for me before but hey, I’ll take it! Thanks for responding so quickly. I’ll see how it goes from here.

Wow, that’s kind of bizarre, but not one to look a :gift: :horse: in the mouth.
