Plexamp crashes after pause by system

Hi, every time my phone pauses playback for a phone call, or any other reason for a system pause, when I resume playback it plays for a second then crashes. Can anyone shed any light on the issue?1591439557030_405542442302958.zip (98.8 KB)

I have included logs (I think)

We’ve got it filed internally for investigation, it’s been a bit challenging to reproduce here on our devices.

Hi Elan,

Thanks very much for the reply. If there is any further information that I can provide that may help please just let me know.

Kind regards,

Darren.

Hi Elan,

The issue is still very much here and still occurs when playback has been interrupted by a system pause.

I have attached some further logs to see if they can help in any way.

Many thanks1592460630249_287121011024873.zip (34.0 KB) 1592460622973_290063878092153.zip (58.1 KB)

This happens to me when I go from using Plexamp just on my phone to using it in my car with bluetooth. My phone connects to the car automatically and then I select the media input on my car stereo which usually causes the phone to automatically resume the last thing that was playing. This causes the Plexamp app to crash, usually twice, before it starts working again.

Yes that’s it exactly! It always crashes twice before starting to work again. It’s very frustrating whilst trying to drive!

Let’s see if the next version helps :crossed_fingers: If not please reach out and we can debug.

Hi Elan.

The update is excellent, far and above what was expected and very welcome.

There is an issue though… Is there a track size limit? As I have a few tracks (full mixes) that are over 90 minutes long and they won’t play on either android or windows through plexamp, you just get a spinning circle. All the tracks play fine on the normal plex app (Android and windows)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm, no issue that I know of. Can you play one of them and then share debug logs from the app?

Thanks again for the quick reply.

I have force stopped the app, cleared the cache, then opened and tried to play the track, I have then saved the log from these actions. It worked fine until about a day ago (Windows) and today (Android) The logs attached are from my Android device.

Awesome Android Auto implementation by the way

Thanks so much!

Hmm, there’s some interesting stuff going on in there… it might be tough to diagnose w/o access to that 1546857362 byte file

Any chance you can upload it somewhere, or else put it in a library by itself and share with me, e.g.?

Yeah, no problem, can you tell me how to share the library with you and I’ll do it now

Actually, I’ll DM you with an APK to try out instead …

Ok great
