I’m using Plexamp on my Samsung Note 20 Ultra and version 4.2.0. When I press pause after listening to my audiobook it won’t resume playing the track. Here are some of the things that happen/I’ve noticed while debugging:
once playback fails I can interact with the GUI but none of the buttons do anything and I’m unable to go back. Have to force stop to get app to interact again
it doesn’t matter where I press pause it freezes any way I pause. I tried on play screen, the mini player while on artist page, the drop down menu on Android, and Bluetooth press to pause.
it happens when pausing any file/library but file size does play a factor. Audiobooks (200MB-1+GB) it freezes after one press of PAUSE. Music tracks will allow for a few presses but before 30 seconds after pressing pause a few times it also freezes.
@elan per our conversation on reddit I’ve included my logs after a few troubleshooting attempts.
Other thing I’ll add, the log cycle very quickly after this happens, so if you can reproduce the issue, quickly force kill the app and restart, those logs might contain additional clues.
I’ve atttached 4 logs and named each one for the situation that happened when I took the logs.
As for your question about repeat-1. I do NOT have it set to repeat-1, but repeat-all. However, when I turned off repeat-all when I try to play the “track” it closes the track and goes back to what ever the previous menu I was on before player popped up. BUT it doesn’t freeze and i’m still able to interact with the app. I generated another log after trying this twice (I tried a 3rd time to make sure I can reproduce with consistency after I generated a log).
I have been running into this same issue with my Samsung S22. I initially htought it was the headphones, so I switched to another pair (same problem). Then took both pairs to my Samsung tablet, with Plexamp freshly downloaded… this worked like a charm.
Back on the S22, I removed then reinstalled from the Play Store. It worked almost correctly. It would consistently start playing again.
The only issue is that it should work as Press 1 [Stop]… Press 2 [Play]. In reality, it was like this Press 1 [Stop]… Press 2 [Track timer advanced 1 second] … Press 3 [Play]. It always takes the extra button press.
OK, there were actually a couple of issues here, and the missing piece of information was that I suspect you were playing the track at greater than 1.0x speed.
