Hello I was wondering if anyone knew what directory Plex amp downloads songs into on an Android phone using internal storage.
Nobody knows where it is stored? I cannot find it anywhere
It’s not stored in a place which is usually accessible unless you’ve rooted your phone.
Why the restriction? Seems arbitrary or worse. For example, when somebody’s filesystem on a phone starts filling up it is totally natural to want to see where all that space is used. Having it hidden in a secret folder does nobody any good. I fail to see the need to do that.
Why do developers always seem to make such things much harder for users to use?
Of course, Elan never likes it when I point out such things.
It’s not “arbitrary or worse”. It’s the place where Android places app data ![]()
Hmmm… I run Voice Recorder on my Android phone, record a little audio file named Test Recording, and wham it put it in Internal Storage under Recorders. I can even access it on my MacBook running Ubuntu merely by connecting it to my phone with a USB cable and Caja shows me:
Or I can use the Files app on the phone to browse to Internal Storage/Recorders and see it there. I can play the file, rename the file, delete the file, etc.
Do you mean to tell me that Plexamp could not likewise create say Internal Storage/Plexamp and put the downloaded mp3 files there?!?
Plexamp is not a voice recorder. It is not designed to allow users access to its media files, which it stores in a way which best suits its internal design.
