I deleted my favorites and fresh playlist in plexamp not knowing what it’s for - dummy me. Do you know how I can get it back? I have a tidal subscription linked
There maybe another solution but I’m pretty sure if you uninstall plexamp and install it again it will run through the wizard which will create these two playlists. You can also delete cache & data in the app if you didn’t want to uninstall.
I tried uninstalling and still no playlists. I wonder if it’s because my tidal subscription is tied to it.
Not sure, lets see if a ninja comes along with some more ideas.
These playlists are generated when you perform a new installation of Plexamp.
Makes sense, how can i get them back? Can i unlink my tidal account and redo it?
Nothing to do with Tidal.
You could uninstall Plexamp and re-install it.
Maybe install it onto an additional device.
I tried both options - doesn’t seem to work. Anything else I can do? I don’t know how to play all the songs I have starred.
Just use a filter. You can store this filter as a smart playlist afterwards and use it with any Plex client if you like.
You can specifiy filters in plexamp, but personally I prefer the web app for things like this. It’s just more convenient.
Do you have a Music library set up on your Plex server?
You can’t do the above if you’re only accessing Tidal. There is not much sense in using Plex at all if you don’t have a personal music library.
We only use Tidal on Plexamp. We like using the Plexamp app when mobile and music on the Plex app for the TV. We are ‘starring’ the songs we like but we can’t play them back.
You can just sign out and in to recreate, no need to reinstall.
You can also recreate with smart playlists.

You’ll only get offered the option if you select your server library in the setup step.
I don’t have my own server.
Hey Elan, So I took your advice and created a server on my Nvidia Shiela. Then signed out of the plexamp. I can now see the favorite playlists, however, the songs that I star from tidal don’t go in there. Seems like it is only for songs that I would star on my server.
That is by design.
