Any way this feature could be similar to Apple music? When I’m driving, the scrolling is relatively time consuming and distracting. Other than that one thing, I love having Plex on Carplay!
I’m actually not sure that feature is available to people other than Apple
+1 to the OP’s request for 30 seconds skip/rewind.
Also would be great if Plexamp could have persistent memory on track location, for podcasts and audiobooks that are long. Right now if I pause a track, and then play another track, when I come back to the first one, the play position is lost.
Really loving the Plexamp app, great work! With these two pieces added, I can officially ditch so many other apps.
Can be optionally enabled in next release.
As long as they’re in a library with the advanced Store Track Progress enabled, it should Just Work. Let me know if not.
I can raise a separate thread if necessary, but one feature I’d appreciate would be the ability to stop playback at the end of the current track, or at the end of the track in X minutes from now. I usually just have my entire library play back on shuffle, but like to complete a track when I’m about to leave the house.
One potential implementation would be as a contextual menu when long pressing the pause button during playback.
I played a bit with plexamp on ios and I like it. Find it easier to listen to music this way. Only issue i noticed is that when I browse my library using CarPlay, I can’t scroll pass the letter K. It’s fine when i do it on the phone though. Anybody else have the same issue?
This is such GREAT tip! Thank you to @ OttoKerner and @ unperplexed
I adjusted the settings … and rebooted my computer. I set mine to 10 days. I have a very large library so I thought I would go a bit bold on my setting.
@ OttoKerner do you think that may be to many days?
Again, thank you for the tip. Im hoping to hear less of the popular tracks and more of the deeper tracking when using Artist Radio and smart playlists.
Have a great day
EB
That depends not only on the size of your library, but also on how often you listen to music.
Hey Elan @elan , I do have some feedback to share. The advanced Store Track Progress does work yes, but maybe a bit too well. Would it be possible to add a setting per track (or album) to enable/disable the Store Track Progress setting?
After using it for 2 weeks, I find that for single tracks on albums that I’ve added to a playlist or otherwise played in a station (where it’s possible I may have advanced the track at the end of the song when it was just dead air) there is a small problem. When going back to listen to the entire album, several of the tracks skip all the way to the end where they play for a second then advance to the next track.
if would be really awesome if sweet fades ignored ‘store track progress’ completely, meaning don’t read existing progress, don’t write any progress, whenever sweet fades is enabled.
this would leave any existing progress unmodified, so simply disabling sweet fades would allow normal progress tracking functionality.
This option is not meant to be enabled ever for a regular music library.
It’s only meant for e.g. a separate library where you have audiobooks or something else where you care DEEPLY about resuming.
That is working great, thanks!
