Are there any plans to release plex amp for Android Tv? I have multiple Nvidia Sheilds around the house and would love to use them instead of using my phone to stream via BT.

You can sideload from apkmirror, and it works fine as a remote target

Although with 4.6.2 they seem to have changed it to recognise it’s on Google TV and just be a remote target - can’t even find a way to change the instance name yet so it just appears as “Android PlexAmp”, rather than "Shield PlexAmp
 " as it did before this update.

I use Samsung Smartthings between my tablet and TV to use Plexamp but obviously that’s only a solution for Samsung users.

Sideloading was the first thing i tried before posting here. It loads and after logging, it just gets stuck.

I also wonder if Plexamp would be able to run from my Synology NAS DS420j where Plex Media Server is currently running?

I’d like to second the request for PlexAmp on Android TV. I also have an Nvidia Shield, but can’t get ‘casting’ to the Shield to work.
