Plexamp for PC (linux/windows) Separate window for player

I’m a linux user, and I use tilling to manage my window. I have constantly open a Pley window on top of one of my monitor. The player adaptive UI is really great. Kudos

In my daily usage, I often open the player full screen to search for something to listen to, select it, then reduce the player size again. If I did not displayed the player when reducing the window, I got the browsing UI too small to display anything and I have to re-open it, display the player and reducing it again. In my quest for neat window layout, I would love to see plexamp having two window app.

  • One window with only the player (and queue list) and nothing else
  • One window with only the browsing features, to select something to play.

Obviously, this would be an optional feature to toggle.
I would also add

  • The two window must have a different title (to be able to target them individually via scripts)
  • The two window could have a different X CLASS, that would be a must, but different title should be fine.

I search the community for a similar topic, and did not find any, if think I did a poor job at searching, please direct me to the related topic I did not find. I’d be glad to close this one and add my stone there instead.

Thanks for Plexamp Boys, Girls, and all others.
