Since there is only a play/pause button and not a stop button. Even after closing Plexamp for Windows, the Plex dashboard continues to show the item I was playing as playing. Only after about 15 minutes does it stop showing as being played.
Hold down the pause button for a complete stop.
I’ve experienced something similar as well but it’s not 15 minutes, more like 2-5 minutes (I’ve never bothered to stopwatch it).
If I’d to guess plexamp does not immediately communicate a stop to the server and plex keeps it on the dashboard until some timeout is reached.
Its a fairly minor issue but there certainly is a delay between stop with music and it’s reporting in the dashboard.
We stop sending timeline information after being paused for 60 seconds. The server may have additional timeouts.
