Plexamp freezes randomly after latest update

Hello,

I’m used to listen to my music collection with Plexamp, but after the latest updates (~2 weeks ago), the app became very irresponsive, it freezes randomly, and it’s impossible to listen to anything…

I first thought it were connection issues, but after testing with the regular Plex app, it connects and works without any problem…

Does someone is facing the same issues? My phone is a Samsung A34 and I’m running the latest Plexamp version from Google Play, 4.10.1

hmm, we haven’t had any other reports of this. can you post logs so we can see if there’s anything obvious?

I’m using Android 14 (oneUI 6.0).
I’m trying to get the logs from the app (settings/device/debugging), but as the app is really irresponsive right now, I can’t…
As soon as I can get it, I will post it here for you.

Does it have any private info that I need to mask before upload it?

Do you have a large amount of content downloaded? The app starts a refresh which can be quite expensive if you have a massive amount of downloads.

No, normally I have no downloads, I have set a 1gb of cache, but it’s the same for a long time.

As for my tests, I have tried all normal stuff, like cleaning app cache, app data and even uninstall/ reinstall the app…

Is there any other way to get the logs?

Other think I thought was if you can give me the previous apk version, for me to test a “roll back”, what do you think?

So, this morning I realized that I was using a beta release (I use a automated script to update the server on my synology).

There was a new version this morning that fixes the problem, so I think the bugs came from the server…

I just changed the script to update only on public releases for now
