Where/How is the Plexamp history stored? I noticed the history in Plexamp goes further back than the history on the server. Out of curiosity I’ve cleared the metadata_item_views table which clears the history on the server yet the history remains in Plexamp. I’ve installed Plexamp on another device and the history is the same as the first device.
So where is Plexamp getting the history from? In advance setting there is the option “Sync Recent Plays” but I cannot find any documentation on what this does.
I am referring to History section where it shows the list of tracks you’ve listened to. The Recent Plays section shows the recent albums you’ve listened to.
In short it sounds like the recent played tracked are stored in cloud and not on the server. How do you clear this?
Not any more. In the previous version of Plexamp there was an option to remove the track from history individually in the track’s context menu. This option is gone in the latest version. At least on the iOS version.
Considering the Mix (love this feature) and Most Played are based on the history there should be an option to clear the history should you need to. For example you’re on a road trip with others and had to play songs that you don’t normally listen to. You’re having a party and want to use Plexamp like a jukebox where people at the party would add songs to the queue.
One workaround is to use managed accounts. When you delete the managed account the history is gone.
That’s incorrect. There was and is such an action in Plex Dash, there never has been in Plexamp’s History view.
With Recent Plays, there used be an (x) on every item on the home screen. Now the deletion is on the screen accessible via the > where you can delete a single item or all items.
