Plexamp iOS ver: 4.10.1
PMS Windows ver: 1.40.1.8227
In doing some testing with Tailscale, trying to punch through CGNAT, I think I found an issue with Plexamp connecting through a cell network, which I assume is IPV6, as is my home internet provider T-mobile.
As expected, when I’m on a cell connection not connected to Tailscale, Plex and Plexamp both connect through Plex Relay. If I connect to Tailscale, Plex will connect as local (as expected), but Plexamp will still use the relay. If I select a home device as an exit node while on cellular, then Plexamp appears as local.
One detail I omitted was that using tailscale and plexamp works as expected on remote wifi. And reading other posts, it seems like cellular routing has been an issue in the past for plexamp.
However, mysteriously it is now working as expected over cellular, sort of. I’m not sure if it’s a DNS thing. I set the Custom server access URLs of Tailscale to http (not s) and suddenly it’s working. The Dashboard does not show it as secure, though playing from Plex it shows as secure.
