sometimes Plexamp loads single artists very slow.
It can take up to 45 seconds until I see the albums of the artist.
I added a log of my plexamp. Maybe you can find something there.
Plexamp runs on my new pixel 8 so it shouldn’t be the hardware of the phone that is too slow.
Server is also pretty powerful (shared vps though).
€: Somehow plexamp tries to connect to the private IP of the server instead of the forwarded public one.

May that be the problem? And if yes, how can it be fixed?
Hi Elan,
I made an interesting observation.
When I tried to load an artist with Plexamp for Android it took like forever to load the artist (it literally got stuck) but with Android Auto Mediathekview the artist was loaded almost instantly.
Does the Android Auto Version fetch the artists differently than the Android version?
Never had problems with the Android Auto version so far. Long loading times only occured with the Android Version.
Ah yes.
I didn’t share the link in drive properly.
I just exported a new log and shared it for everyone.
Now you should be able to grab it: 48868367332210.zip - Google Drive
Yesterday I used Plexamp via Adnroid and Android Auto so you should see that in the logs.
If you need anything else from me please don’t hesitate to contact me.
It’s possible that Android Auto is faster because it limits the number of albums? Also, it’s not returning a lot of data after that five seconds, so perhaps related to your database needing an optimize?
I’m curious what artist 5853 is on your system and how many albums it has.
