Kind of having a weird issue with Plexamp. When I’m casting to my Shield and then cast to go to a different device the cast menu seems to lose all of the available options. This is sometimes resolved by completely force stopping the app and restarting it but then I lose my queue of whatever I was playing.
This is exacerbated even more when I’m moving between playing music in the house and then getting in my car for Android Auto and then coming back to my house. It’s not nearly as seamless as it should be. It seems that I’m always having to go into the app and kill it and then reselecting what I want to play. If I set up a playlist with a DJ mode that I want to hear, I have to restart it from scratch over and over again.
Anyone else experiencing similar issues? It seems to have gotten worse after the last update or two.
(I’ve requested before to actually have a dedicated app on Nvidia Shield, this would be one more reason that it would make sense)
Thanks for posting this! I’m having the exact same issue. I have 15+ devices to cast to.
If I leave the app open for an unspecified amount of time, the list of casting devices disappears before my eyes. They don’t come back.
If I close the app and open it again, they show up. Really annoying when I pause for a work meeting. When I come off the call, I have to reconnect because of a different issue where it loses connection (but still says it’s casting) and yet, no casting devices show up.
This happens literally every time. I can reproduce it every day, but I’m not sure what triggers the devices to go away, but I know it happens every time the app is open.
I don’t think the app did that in the past.

Not that they’d be terribly useful to me, but you may get some more attention to your issues if you attach Plexamp logs to your thread so they have somewhere to start troubleshooting (click the link for instructions on how to collect them). Just make sure you capture the full issue; from a full list of devices to cast to to some diminished list.
