Hello, I installed Plexamp on Mac, and I have a problem with the shortcuts which remain active even when I am in another application, like Word or Excel.
How do I make shortcuts only effective when I’m on the Plexamp application and not when I’m on Word or Excel?

Would you mind explaining what you mean by “the shortcuts” and why/how you want to see that disabled?
Is this about using media keys on your keyboard to interact with Plexamp or how the behavior of the Plexamp user interface while the app is in the background / unfocused?
There is a reason why they are called Global Shortcuts within the settings menu.

I added the keyboard shortcuts manually via the Plexamp options, but these shortcuts remain active even when the application is running in the background while I am working on another application.
To summarize, every time I write text in Word and press the space key, the music cuts out^^

No. As per Otto‘s response… those are global shortcuts to control Plexamp playback no matter if it’s in focus or not.
A single space key is therefore not a good option.
As you’re pointing out, this will cause significant trouble when writing text.
