Just downloaded the mobile version on android and it looks sweet. I just cant find any way to play it through my Sonos speakers… this makes it nearly completely useless for me :’(
Am I just blind??? are there any immediate plans for this functionality?
No viewable roadmap for us beta testers. It was just talked about and is in the future of Plexamp. I’ve wanted Chromecast integration for a while, but it will be here before we know it. Thanks.
AA is also in the works… the casting requires more certificates (at least on the iOS - Apple side) for this to be accomplished, so the idea was to release it and then work with Apple and maybe Google to enable casting.
I felt the same after I downloaded the app. Utterly worthless (no offense to the devs) if there’s no way to play it on my Sonos speakers or use it with Android Auto.
With iTunes I was able to clean up names and tags. Now that iTunes is virtually dead I was happy to see Plex upgrade the music server. However this Plexamp release is too rash. The product does offer anything new the main interface already does outside of pretty pictures. Functionality to connect to the choice of output is sort of a major part of a music player. Otherwise I can just enable DNLA and use Windows Media Player. Don’t release half baked concepts. Good idea, but finish it first.
