Whenever I try cast music from Plexamp to my Sonos speakers playback does not work. It appears to connect to my Sonos speaker fine, but the selected audio does not play, then Plexamp starts skipping tracks really fast. Once it stops, I am then unable to select any music within the app until I disconnect from the Sonos speaker.

I have exactly the same problem and cannot find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi - I’ve been struggling with a similar issue. I have a Sonos system that I can connect everything but Plexamp over Android. I have port forwarded Plex in my Asus router and ensured it is a static connection. I have Plex Pass and remote access for PMS. I can cast Plex and Plexamp from my PC to Sonos but not from Plexamp on Android. On each attempt I get the message: “Could not switch to player”.
Sounds similar to you guys. I note that the sound mutes (when TV is on) while attempting to play but stalls at that. I can exit the error to play on device but the sound on Sonos remains muted. I have ensured my Sonos app/account is linked to Plex account. I also spoke to Sonos who “tested” my Sonos network and say the problem is with Plex. I’m stumped. I also note (might be important) that the Plex app is loaded on my Sonos app but cannot see Plex servers in the app - just the generic Plex proprietary stuff. I have uninstalled and reinstalled - and relinked accounts successfully - but the programs do not compute.

I’ve noticed I can cast podcasts fine, just not my own media. I have the same issue trying to cast from the Windows Plexamp app too. Below is an error I saw within the Sonos app.

Scrap that, worked for a short time and back to skipping through my library with no audio playing.
I am having the same issue with an ipad running the plexamp app and trying to cast to a sonos speaker. it works sometimes but seems ureliable and will not allow me to skip tracks etc.
