I often use plexamp when travelling and it kills me to add downloaded media into plexamp. All of my media is FLAC, so I re-encode the files to save space on my phone. It takes FOREVER because the re-encoding software used by plex server is not multithreaded, and the server only re-encodes one file at a time!!
I’m currently trying to load 10x albums onto my phone and my 24x core Xeon server is idling along at less than 5% CPU load!
PLEEEAAAASSSSSEEEEEE add a feature that allows multiple files to be sent for re-encoding, I’d love to have 20x files re-encoding in parallel.
