Plexamp not in Windows 10 volume over screen display

Most media players (VLC, Spotify, Pandora, web browsers) will add themselves to the big over screen display (OSD) that appears when the volume is toggled. But Plexamp doesn’t show up there.

Additionally, when I have something playing media and I hover over its taskbar icon, I get little back, play/pause, and next buttons in the hover preview. Plexamp doesn’t have these, either.

Does anyone know why Plexamp might be excluded from some of the Windows 10 media features? Is this an error in my configuration or something to do with how Plexamp was built? Was this intentional? Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It requires integration with Windows media system. We looked into it, but we couldn’t nodert-win10 working right, and couldn’t find an alternative.

(The taskbar buttons can be added at some point without that.)

I’m also interested in this, was about to post same suggestion, is it not possible to make a bridge program that’s helping to do it ? Or doing NodeRT bidings to the win32 api ?

We explored using NodeRT bindings but they don’t seem to have been updated in ages and ran into tons of issues building them.

Oh okay, but you could try to male your own bindings, or making a c bridge lib and using it with custom nodert bindings
